The Patriot is a very great movie. It was very realistic, and it made you as if you are part of the movie. It was historicaly accurate…but like every Hollywood movie, they need to have something exciting in the movie so it can sell. First let me give the accurate parts. The british had red coats, and the americans had the three-pointed hat. The movie showed some accurate battles and what happened in the battles, like when they showed the battle of yorktown and how the british surrendered. Like every army there were friendly, and not-so-friendly people. The “lord” guy was friendly and acted as if no war was going on between them. There was the other guy, who killed Ben’s oldest son who was merciless. The guy even burnt a Church down! They showed that the french came to help the americans. The things that are not so true were like when Ben and his younger sons killed a whole army who were armed and fully-grown trained soldiers. How can one man possibly run into an armed army, and kill them with one axe, then throw an axe straight through a guys skull? And how can one guy be so merciless (the british captain or something) to kill one’s son in front of his father, and burn a whole church down? Doesn’t he think that God will do something bad to him if he burned a church with a lot of people inside? The movie was accurate except for the few twisted mojo stuff in it.
