A patriots point of veiw… :( to british noobs

Before I say anything… I want to tell ye what I think of a british guy :(  They are stupid people who think they own the world. I will do anything to stop those so-called britsh kings. I have recently even joined the colonial militia. We are getting ready to launch an attack on one of the british troops. I will do anything to blow 30 of the people who ruined my life before I get a minor wound. If I die without killing one of them cowards, I would consider myself as a sinner, and may God send me to Hell for He knows the right from wrong. Amazingly, we got help from what I call true men, the great French people. This is what I have to say before I go to war and shove them British out of our land.

Declaration of Independence Cartoon

The cartoon is an example of the declaration of independence. The eagle is the “american colonists” and the egg is the “british rule”. The eagle is hatching away from the egg. If we explain what that means, it means that the colonists are “hatching” from the british rule. That was a good cartoon showing “Declaration of Independence”.

Letter to Abby

Dear Abby,

My name is Johnny Tremain. I got a permanent problem with me a few days ago. I work as a silversmith apprentice for Mr. Lapham. In my opinion, I was the best silversmith in my neighborhood until a few days ago. I was making a sugar basin for the great Mr. Hancock. It had to be the exact replica of the sugar basin Mr. Lapham made forty years ago! It was pretty hard to make. The handles were in the shape of a woman’s body that was so intricate. There was repousse work on it. Mr. Lapham had to do it because I never learned to do such thing. It also had to be done in one week!!! I kept doing and redoing the handles. I even showed Paul Revere the handles. He showed me how to do it and in the end I got it. I had to start on the basin on Saturday. I told my fellow apprentices, Dove and Dusty, to build up the furnace and get charcoal. But Dove took his time to bring bad, fourth-rate charcoal which is fit for iron. There was a great delay and I got in a fight with Dove. That was when Mr. Lapham that work was over for the day. If Saturday was over, and we cannot work on Sunday for religious reasons, how was I to finish the sugar basin??? I told Mrs. Lapham and she said Sabbath or no Sabbath, this sugar basin had to finish. Believe it or not, she helped me to secretly to try to work five hours on Sunday and two on Monday which was enough for me! But on Sunday is where my problem arose. I was working very, very fast. Mrs. Lapham and the two boys were helping me. I asked Dove to bring me a crucible for melting silver. The stupid, sneaky apprentice gave me a cracked crucible that wasn’t good for melting silver. The beeswax I used to make the wax models for the handles melted and ran over the floor. The crucible broke apart and the silver ran all over the furnace. I slipped on the beeswax and I fell on the molten silver. My hand now is a worthless piece of flesh, not good for anything. Mr. and Mrs. Lapham want me to do the stupid chores and I don’t really want to do them because they are for no good apprentices. Mr. Lapham suggested I find a new skilled trade that can be done with one hand. I am not sure what to do… Please help me and reply soon Abby!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Sincerely,

Johnny Tremain

Abby’s reply

Dear Mr. Johnny Tremain,

Do whatever you feel is the right thing is for you. If you want to find a new skilled trade and master do that. If you feel comfortable with the Laphams, you stay there. If people start making fun of you and crack jokes on you, ignore them. If you keep ignoring them, they will soon forget you ever had a weird hand. Keep your hand outside, don’t hide it. Feel proud that you were a very strong silversmith that lost his hand due to helping on of the greatest men in America. If you keep it inside all the time, but you accidentally left it outside once, you wouldn’t really want to be in an embarrassing situation. As for Dove, I think he is a poor naturally-dumb silversmith. Leave him alone and forgive him. I bet he feels bad for what he has done to his apprentice friend. To make yourself useful to your community, I think you should find a new skill that will be able to be done with one hand. This is just an advice which I think is the best for you. If you don’t want to follow it, that is up to you. If you have more questions or you want more advice, reply to this letter.

                                                                        Sincerely,

Abby, Newspaper Advisor

Boston colonist of the 1770’s

Amr Al-Sabbagh8th   10/25/07Boston Colonist of the 1770’s        People say the English crown is very strong and strict. They are actually totally stupid. How can they control us from far away? Especially, how dare them pass laws on our lands like the “Tea Act”.Tea is our favorite pastime. I sell very good tea for a good profit. Then when the “Tea Act” came along, I had to sell the cheap tea they gave  for a very little profit because moste of my friends and family did not like the British East India Company’s tea. I thought it might put me out of Business. Thanks to the “Sons Of Liberty” I’m back in full business and now everybody likes my tea. Just to help less smuggling, the British almost put many people out of business. I really like the “Sons Of Liberty” and in my idea they are the men who should be a role model to everyone of those so-called men who cannot stand up to the evil to create goodness in the world!    176 words
